Whoot! Whoot! My 23 things are done. By doing these "challenges" I learned many things. There are so many things that you can do with technology it is just amazing. Some things were new, something were old. I did learn that I can be more in touch with media than I was in the past.

I used wordle to create birthday invitations for my Daughter who at age 8 still thinks her mother is cool...most of the time. Searched Pinterest for all sorts of things from books I should read, crafts to make, meals that are great for a busy family and much more. Pinterest and I are having a love affair, I love, love, love it. Twitter and I do not share the same feelings, although I see why some people Tweet all the time, maybe it's something that will grow on me.

I feel good about all the things that I explored during this challenge. Now I can tweet, blog, pin whenever I want.

Congrats to all those who finished their media journey.

Here is something I just had to add...not all things turn out ....even when you find them on Pinterest. Too Funny.

Week 9 -Apps .This week was old news to me,as soon as the Public library made overdrive available I jumped on the bus. Installing overdrive is easy, the hardest thing is figuring out what devices are compatible. Once this is downloaded and installed you are able to login with your Library card to the vision catalogue and go wild. If you have ordered anything online you will be able to navigate this website with ease. What to chose sometimes can be hard,(because there are so many good ones) you may also have to place a hold on an item if it is not available the first time around. Biblio NB is great, you can follow people with the same interest in books and maybe find your self reading something you might not have normally read. There is even a bookshelf to keep track of the books you already have read. Very easy and Fun to use.
Scoop it. Well there are lots of things to scoop, ice cream, snow and more snow.Information was not on my list until I discovered "Scoop it". What an great way to share interesting things. Very easy to navigate, you can find material on almost everything. If you haven't tried "Scoop it" you should.

The importance of Libraries goes far beyond just lending books. We provide space, leardership, and opportunities for all. With internet access libraries are helping to provide patrons with much needed information. Libraries are about making our communities educated in many different ways.

This Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day so dig through you closet and dresser drawers. Wear pink in support of a cause that has touched everyone's lives. Help raise awareness in your community, school and workplace. Think Pink!

Travis Price continues to push his peaceful pink message.
Price, 24, has been campaigning against bullying for seven years now dating back to when he and fellow classmate, David Shepherd, organized a protest in support of a Grade 9 student at their Nova Scotia high school in 2007.

The boy was targeted by students and bullied because he was wearing a pink polo shirt to school. Price and Shepherd heard about the attack and bought 75 pink tank tops at a thrift store and told classmates they were going to hand them out the next day. Word of the plan spread quickly and hundreds of fellow students showed up wearing pink the next day, some head to toe.

That action was the first Pink Shirt Day. Today, millions around the world participate each year in pink days to stand up and speak out against bullying in schools, workplaces and communities.
